About Us

Acuity System Consultants is a consulting company incorporated in April of 1989 in Malaysia with a performance oriented focus on availability and reliability for Safety & Mission Critical Systems and Facilities.

We initially started with the turnaround of SCADA projects which had failed, or had not met project reliability and availability requirements. We became one of the pioneering adopters of Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) installation practices in the mid-90s and today provide the full spectrum of EMC services including EMC management for the complete lifecycle of a project, EMC modelling and simulation, EMC testing, and trouble shooting in respect of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).

Our range of EMC services is complemented with the integrated application of the related elements of Earthing & Bonding, Lightning & Surge Protection and Grounding, Electro-Static Discharge, Power Quality and Stray Currents. This includes the design and modelling of earth grids, simulation of power-line earth faults and determination of the associated earth potential rise, step and touch potentials, transferred potentials, and the verification and validation of these modelling and simulations through testing.

Our breadth and depth of services and experience puts us in a unique position to apply our services horizontally across the numerous vertical systems of a project for the complete lifecycle of a project.

Acuity has over the years provided these services to the Railway sector, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sector, Telecommunication & Broadcast sector, Satellite Earth stations, Electrical utilities, Aviation & Defence sectors, Semi-Conductor industry, and Water utilities amongst others.

Since its initial inception in Malaysia, Acuity has spread its consulting services across to other countries such as Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, and Brunei.

"Acuity System Consultants Sdn Bhd was engaged by PT Len in 2017-2018 to provide EMC, Lightning and E&B Consultancy Services for PT Len’s Scope of Work in the LRT (Light Rail Transit) Jakarta Project Corridor 1 Phase 1(Kelapa Gading – Velodrome):

a. The Communications Work Package;

b. Depot And Maintenance Vehicles Work Package;

c. Automatic Fare Collection Work Package;

d. Blue Light Systems Work Package;

e. 3rd Rail Work Package;

f. SCADA (Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition) Work Package;

g. Driver Training (Train) Simulator Work Package.

"The scope of services commenced with EMC & E&B related guidance at the design stage; coordination and management of related documentation work flows, submissions and reviews; support at interface meetings and discussions with the Employers Representatives; on the job training of our staff; and verification and validation works (site inspections, stand-alone testing, integration testing) amongst others.
